I am leaving you a comment, because I have read your posts and believe in the same things! I don't know how we can get across to these politicians! They know what Americans want and yet they do what is best for their personal needs, Republican and Democrat alike! I just urge you to participate in your local tea parties, get your friends and family involved. The more Americans stand up the louder we will be heard, although I question if anyone is even listening. Conservatives may have lost this battle, but the war is far from over. Don't give up! I took an oath to protect this nation form threats, both foreign AND domestic and I honestly believe our freedoms and way of life are being attacked! Like I said this war is not over, keep pressure on our politicians, this bill is just the beginning! We still have nationalized health care, illegal immigration amnesty, and takeovers to battle!

I live in Iowa and I WANT to VOTE on this issue. Law makers start your amendments now, because We Iowans do not want this. Period.
If the " committed couples" want to change a law so that they benefit from a business, whether its through their employment such as medical benefits, or the US Govt for tax purposes then they should place their battles before those entities and not the people of a State. When and How are you going to change the definition of spouse in Websters Dictionary?

History is an amazing thing, is it not?
I once told a history prof. that "History was irrelevant."
He was quite upset.
But, by reading most of comments here today, it is proof positive that I was correct.
People don't follow history (facts), they "want to hear" what they "want to hear."
When faced with the truth, they can't (won't) accept it. They change the subject. (Like my fried Jim did earlier) Jim just wanted to point out the fact that I misspelled a word.

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read 'Vote Obama, I need the money.'

Once in the restaurant I noticed my server had on a 'Obama 08' tie.

When the bill came I told the server about the homeless guy outside with the 'vote Obama' sign, and explained that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood in disbelief while I told him that 'in fairness', I was going to redistribute his tip to the homeless guy outside because I deemed his need was greater than the server's need.

The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy the $10 tip and told him to thank the server inside for his good work.

The homeless guy was profoundly grateful and promised he would.

If a sufficient number of people practiced this rather unscientific redistribution experiment the media might publicize it.

Can you think of a better way for people to learn that while the redistribution of wealth may be 'fair' and easy to swallow conceptually, it really does piss-off the worker who earned the money.

Listen America! I am not afraid to say the emperor is wearing no clothes. I am not a religious fanatic. I do not even go to church on Sundays. But I try to live my life as God expects me to. What about the antichrist. He will come out of nowhere. He will win people over with his words. He will be from the east or raised Muslim. The antichrist identity cannot be proven through any research some will know it in their hearts. He will survive a clearly fatal assassination attempt further winning him a following. He will seem to solve all of America's problems but after 3 1/2 years he will require the mark of the devil for all transactions. He will save you now but you will pay the ultimate price. How can America vote for Obama who denounced his church for a popularity contest or presidential election when this country was built on the freedom of religion? Obama's approach to winning people over is to treat them like losers and dummies. Obama's recent ploy that he will leave the campaign trail to be with his grandmother was so obvious to me. I cannot believe the gullibility of some people in high positions it seems like they cannot even think for themselves. All Obama ever says is change. I have not heard anything coming out of Obama's mouth that is enlightening. Obama always stutters and falls over his ideas. Obama repeats everything that his opponents say changing the composition slightly. I probably cannot stop Obama from becoming the president because it is in the Bible and will come to past. Exactly as Jesus told Peter he would deny him three times before the rooster crows. It must have seemed unfathomable to Peter but it came to past. I only hope you will see the for told signs and not take the mark of the beast. That is the only unforgivable sin in the Bible, it is certain eternal damnation. Obama is deceiving. Go to Obama websites and the only thing you can do is donate money. I try to post my comments and Obama counts me as a supporter. I am not showing support just because I log onto Obama's website or anyone else's. This could be generating false numbers of Obama support. I have never been a follower. I also think for myself and count on my God given common sense and logic.

If McCain stalls the investigation until after the election and McCain wins Palin will be impeached! THen Nancy Pelosi can be your VP!! Obama is too smart to get his e-mail hacked into because he dosn't use a yahoo account with one of his child's name as a password! I bet she and her husband can't even pass a FBI clearance!

The fact that they can be here illegally and collect OUR hard earned benefits is a bunch of bull. If you come here for legitimate reasons and to better yourself, then learn to speak the language and become a citizen.
