the so-called 'Income Inequality' is a misnomer because it excludes existing government subsidies to the poor. For example, a family of 4 making minimum wage gets 'free' assistance of;
Medicaid - Value = $13,800
Tax Credits (EITC & Child) = $7,800
EBT Food Stamps = $6,000
TANF - $10,800
Other 'freebies' such as rent and utility subsidies, free bus passes and school lunches.
When you add it all up, they live better than a family making the median income of $50,000 per year and having to buy Obamacare insurance.
